Stay In This Valentines Day With M&S

I have always been a massive fan of Marks And Spencer's "Dine In For Two" offers. The opportunity to have a really stunning three course meal at an affordable price is always a good thing. The food is always the highest standard when it comes to how it is presented and most importantly how it tastes. It feels like a restaurant style meal at a price that is less than your regular take-away.

When M&S asked if I'd like to try their Valentines Inspired Dine In For Two deal I jumped at the opportunity. As a Mammy I very much look at staying in as the new going out. There are many reasons for this. Finances and availability of babysitters are two very common reasons for a lot of people though. Being able to enjoy a decadent meal in the comfort of your own home is a really lovely experience.

The Valentines Dine In For Two will be running in M&S from 11th-15th February inclusive. It is subject to availability due to the popularity of this fantastic offer. For €28 you can enjoy a starter, main course, side, dessert and a bottle of wine or Cava. As an extra bonus you will also receive a free box of chocolates. It really is a marvellous deal.

When it came to choosing our courses it was no easy task, There was an incredible selection of dishes including meat, seafood dishes and vegetarian selections. We decided to go for the cherry tomato and Camembert tart to start and it was sensational. This is my idea of starter heaven. It cooked in 25 minutes in the oven. Easy peasy. The pastry was light, fluffy and perfectly crispy while the centre was beautifully soft.

The main course was Salmon. I wouldn't ordinarily go for Salmon because I cook it at home quite a bit. This was a different kettle of fish altogether. A stunning piece of fish with a Mascarpone and lemon stuffing. It was Divine. We we're totally greedy and picked up two sides because we simply couldn't chose. I definitely would NOT recommend this as I couldn't finish half of it. Lesson learned. Marks And Spencer simply had too many beautiful sides to choose from. I highly recommend the garlic mushrooms. They would be a great accompaniment to any of the main courses on offer.

Dessert, oh how I love dessert. I am a huge HUGE fan of Panna Cotta and would regularly order it in a restaurant. M&S certainly did not disappoint. A beautiful creamy dessert spruced up by a zingy berry topping. It was the perfect ending to a delicious meal.

In terms of drinks we chose the pink Cava and it was really lovely. I had never tasted a Rose Cava before and I'll be keeping an eye out for it again.

As if there was any more room, M&S very kindly gift you with a free box of chocolates when you purchase this deal.

You can pick up this deal for €28 at your local Marks And Spencer. And sure why wouldn't you? A really affordable elegant meal in the comfort of your own home.

A big thank you for M&S for gifting us with this. As always though all opinions are 100% my own.
